Racemaster Zyketia: Are you ready for the race?

Racemaster Zyketia: Go see the Mathemagician in Strag's Rest when you
reach level 10.
Level
10: Strag's Rest (SE) Behind fort
Mathemagician Relue: Hail, Tashiro! Now is the time. I need your help.
-What's in it for me?
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: I currently have nothing I can give, but if you help
restore me to my
original glory, we can easily discuss such matters then.
So will you help me?
-Okay, but what are you?
-Buzz off, deadbeat.
-Exit
I once was a great mathematician. I calculated sea routes, mapped out
coachmaster paths,
and programmed...
-Programmed what?
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Uh, nothing, never mind. Bottom line is, I've crossed
someone I shouldn't
have, and thus have been cursed.
Mathemagician Relue: There are ten rings scattered about Tunaria, that
have passed from one hand
to another over the past few decades. I need them.
Mathemagician Relue: Only when I have all ten can the curse be lifted.
I know the locations of
the first two. I'll write them down for you.
Will you retrieve them for me?
-Sure thing.
-Buzz off, scoundrel.
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Bless you, Tashiro!
You recieved a quest!
*Quest Log*
Retrieve the ring in the Misty Thicket, west of Rivervale, and in Druid's
Watch, south of Hagley.

Mathemagician Relue: You've obtained the ring?
-Yes, I have both. Here, take them.

Mathemagician Relue: Excellent. Thank you, Tashiro!
You have finished a quest.
Level
20:
Mathemagician Relue: Hail, Tashiro! Now is the time. I need your help.
-The other rings?
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Yes, yes... you are indeed powerful enough to find
the next two. One of them
is near Greyvax's Caves, the other, in Sslathis.
-What are these rings?
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: I was young, and like you, hungry for power. I studied
magic, and alchemy,
and connected them with mathematics.
Mathemagician Relue: I drew out schematics for their construction, convinced
ten smiths to each
forge one, and a machinist to finalize the project.
Mathemagicain Relue: ... Enough about me. What's your story?
-Me? Uh, well, I...
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Enough! I don't care! Just find me the rings, I'll
reward you later!
You recieved a quest!
*Quest Log*
Retrieve the ring from Sslathis, near Hazinak and Grobb, and near Greyvax's
Caves in the north.
Mathemagician Relue: Find the ring along the shore near Greyvax's Caves.

Mathemagician Relue: The rings... you have them... give them to me...
please!
-Yes, okay, okay... here.
-Back off, man.
-Exit
You have recieved 3481059 exp. You have recieved 11 tunar.
Mathemagician Relue: Wahahaha... four of ten rings... just six more...
Mathemagician Relue: Much thanks, Tashiro! Come see me when you are stronger!
You have finished a quest.
Level
30:
Mathemagician Relue: Hail, Tashiro! Now is the time. I need your help.
-The fifth and the sixth rings...
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Yes. One of them is in the Northwestern Ro, and the
other is near the Moss Mouth Cavern.
-Why did you need ten different smiths?
-Do your own dirty work. I quit.
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: No one would agree to make more than one. Too much
power, they'd all say.
They made me promise not to have any more made.
Mathemagician Relue: That's a promise I quickly broke. LOL!!1!!1!
Mathemagician Relue: ... What's with that look?
-Nothing. You're a little creepy. Probably your curse.
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Curious about the curse, are you? Let it suffice
to say that my mind and body
are encased within the rings.
Mathemagician Relue: My very existence is spread all about Tunaria. Thus,
I know well where the rings are.
Mathemagician Relue: Go, retrieve the rings... and keep in mind not to
wear them. They certainly won't
do you any good.
You recieved a quest!
*Quest Log*
Retrieve the rings. One is in Northwestern Ro. Someone who hides the other
ring is hiding near the
Moss Mouth Cavern.
Mathemagician Relue: One ringbearer is hiding by a dam near the Moss Mouth

-I'm looking for a ring.
Halfring: Knew it! Yer lookin' for my birthday present. Gitoutta 'ere!
-I'm looking to help someone who's been cursed.
Halfring: A curse-'elper, are ye? What d'ye mean?
-Well, you look cursed. I can help.
Halfring: That so? If yer such an expert, what kinda curse do I 'ave an'
what's it like?
-Uh... makes you look like a half-sized halfling?
Halfring: Git outta here, jerk!
-The ring is cursed. The ring is cursing you.
-Shoot, ... I don't know.
-Exit
-I'm traveling the world to help lift this guy's curse.
Halfring: I got 'alf a mind to say I think I've been cursed meself.
-Really? What kind of curse?
Halfring: Use'ta be nice an' friendly. Ornery and angry all the time,
don't got no friends no more,
'aven't slept since my birthday...
Halfring: ... paranoia, pervasive maladaptive be'avior, irritability,
delulsions, photosensitivity,
'ypervigilance...
Halfing: ... an' nightmares, durin' the daytime... about some skeleton,
screamin' about losin' his
mind, and 'avin' no body no more.
-Hey! That's him! That's the guy I'm trying to help.
Halfring: He's real? What's 'is problem?
-His mind and body split into ten rings. I'm halfway through.
Halfring: There are more birthday presents? Who 'ad the other ones?
-Big rat, big snake, undead barbarian, undead troll...
Halfring: Whatcha mean, by big and undead?
-I think they were normal, but that the rings cursed them.
Halfring: My birthday present... I don't wanna get rid of it. It's not
gonna turn me
undead, is it?
Halfring: ... but I been goin' crazy ever since I got it from the river.
Thinkin' about it...
it was from the corpse of an old friend.
Halfring: Barely recognized 'im! Was huge, like a troll, but 'e use to
be a 'alfling, like me.
Halfring: That skeleton, needs the ring, doesn't 'e. Take it! i don't
wanna turn out big n' crazy.
-Doing this saves you, and it saves him. Thank you.
Halfring: ...
-Uh... are you going to give it to me?
Halfring: ... I 'id it. Probably would've tried t'attack ye if I 'appened
to be wearin' it,
ye were so suspicious in the beginnin'.
Halfring: At the mouth of the cavern... the rocks on top. Git up 'ere
an' it's stuck in b'tween 'em.
Halfring: Go git it b'fore I change my mind.
You recieved a quest!
You finished a quest!
Get Ring of Charisma from a 'halfbox' on top of the entrance to Moss Mouth
Cavern.
halfbox: Inscription says: "Yer lucky ye got permission first, or ye certainly
woulda met the doom
o' the cursed box!"
Mathemagician Relue: Give me the rings, give them to me, I need them...
-I've got what you need right here.
-No
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Gahaha... preciouss rings... mine again...
-What was that?
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Nothing! I said nothing! Come back after gaining
strength, great Tashiro, brave
hero, paragon of altruism!
Mathemagician Relue: ... What's with that look?
-I have concerns about from whom I'm getting the rings.
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: The rings are as cursed as I am. Autonomy of one's
own mind and body become ineffably
foreign to one who would wear the rings.
Mathemagician Relue: Don't wear them, lest you desire to lose control
over your own mind and body. There
will be illusions of control, yes...
Mathemagician Relue: Once you realize what it's done, you'll likely be
too far gone to abandon your delusions.
Mathemagician Relue: Don't waste your time listening to an old man chatter.
Gain strength, and return.
You have recieved 7910227 exp. You have recieved 18 tunar.
You have finished a quest.
Level
40:
Mathemagician Relue: Hail, Tashiro! Now is the time. I need your help.
-Tell me where the other rings are.
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Your will to help is a treasure amongst all beings.
When this is over, you'll be
delighted to find out who I am.
Mathemagician Relue: A ring is held by a dwarf atop a mount at Widow's
Peak. The other is in the possession
of a wisp in Spirit Talker's Wood.
-I'll go get them.
-Wait, don't give me this quest yet.
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Absolutely splendid. Return as soon as you find them.
-How did you become cursed?
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: There was one who felt I wielded too much power.
He attempted to bring me down, but
was easily laid waste to.
Mathemagician Relue: A party of individuals who shared similiar beliefs
about my power and some who sought
to avenge the first raided my dominion.
Mathemagician Relue: One amongst them, the last to fall, was well versed
in the tongue of curses.
Mathemagician Relue: With her final breath, she muttered words unrepeatable
here, or else we'd have a
higher ESRB rating. I have since been cursed.
Mathemagician Relue: Go, find my rings. It is difficult for me to wait
much longer.
You recieved a quest!
*Quest Log*
Retrieve the rings from Widow's Peak and Spirit Talker's Wood.
Mathemagician Relue: Will you keep me waiting?
Mathemagician Relue: Find a ring atop mountains at Widow's Peak. The other
is near hills at Spirit Talker's
Wood.
Widow's Peak (S) Along western mountaintops, giant dwarf skeleton, ring
of Hit Points
Spirit Talker's Wood (C) Towards the south mountains, east of eagles,
gargantuan shadowwisp, ring of Power
Mathemagician Relue: I know you have the rings. Don't deny an old man
his salvation!
-Take them. Here.
-I hereby deny thee.
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: What else did you want to know, Tashiro?
-Were you worthy of the claim that you wielded too much power?
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: My work as a mathematician improved the world for
sure! Trade became more efficient,
travel times were reduced...
Mathemagician Relue: I did good for society, and, of course, was rewarded
with tunar up to the ears.
What I did with my tunar is my own business.
Mathemagician Relue: So I wanted to have some rings crafted, no big deal,
right?
-It seems there's something that you're not telling me...
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Well, Tashiro, I can tell you more... only when you
are ready for the next task.
You have recieved 32014805 exp. You have recieved 92 tunar.
You finished a quest!
Level
50:
Mathemagician Relue: Hail, Tashiro! Now is the time. I need your help.
-Tell me the location of the final two rings.
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: One ring is in the Centaur Valley region. The other
is underwater by Broken Skull
Rock. Swim in the direction the skull faces.
-Okay. I'll be back with the rings.
-I need to wait a bit before accepting this quest.
-Exit
You have recieved a quest!
Mathemagician Relue: Have you further questions, Tashiro?
-So these are the last two rings, right?
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Well, yes... there are the last two rings.
Mathemagician Relue: There will be a simple and final task. I will need
you to carry out later, but
it's nothing to worry about.
Mathemagician Relue: Good luck finding the rings. Remember, swim in the
direction the skull faces...
and you'll find that squid.
-Squid?
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Yes, a flying squid. Anyway, please, just go find
the rings.
*Quest Log*
Retrieve the rings from Centaur Valley and Broken Skull Rock.
Mathemagician Relue: What is it, Tashiro?
-Where did you say the rings were?
=So these are the last two rings, right?
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Face the entrance of Centaur Valley, and travel along
the outer edge of its
mountain border, to the right.
Mathemagician Relue: For the other ring, find Broken Skull Rock, face
the same direction as the skull,
and swim until you find the kraken.
Mathemagician Relue: Do not be long.
Centaur Valley (C/W) Along outer north mountain by a tree, giant greater
ghast, ring of Intelligence
Broken Skull Rock (E) Close to island east of BSR, flying kraken, ring
of Wisdom
Mathemagician Relue: Good... you have the rings... give them to me....
ha... haha...
-... Sure.
-Wait just a bit longer.
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: All ten rings... I think I'm drooling...
-So what is it that remains to be done?
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: The precious, precious rings, have their own curse
in addition to my curse.
Wearing all ten will lift my curse, but...
Mathemagician Relue: ... but then, the rings will overwhelm and destroy
me. There are bracers that
once belonged to me. They would protect me.
Mathemagician Relue: The descendant of the woman who cursed me stole those
bracers from me. You are
not yet strong enough to face him.
Mathemagician Relue: So, Tashiro... please return when you are strong
enough. The task is so close
to completion...
You have recieved 80405652 exp. You have recieved 101 tunar.
You have finished a quest!
Mathemagician
Relue: Hail, Tashiro! Now is the time. I need your help.
-Tell me about that minor final task.
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: A scoundrel by the name of Sethlans spends his days
on the piers of Qeynos.
Mathemagician Relue: Vanquish him, and loot the bracers he wears; they
belong to me, and they are
the key to lifting this curse.
-Has he done you wrong besides owning the bracers?
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Excuse me?
-Well, the bracers aren't cursed, so he's just a normal guy.
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Excuse me twice?
-If the man is sane, I can convince him to give them to me.
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: I see what you are saying. But this is no ordinary
man. He is one with a
silver tongue, and will tell you disgusting lies.
Mathemagician Relue: He is one to hold no value to truth. He is tricky
and deceptive, so use
extreme caution when engaging him.
Mathemagician Relue: The Machinist Sethlans is a truly dangerous foe,
but I anticipate that your
ongoing quest for power has truly prepared you.
You recieved a quest!
*Quest Log*
Retrieve the bracers from Machinist Sethlans at the piers of Qeynos.
Mathemagician Relue: Sethlans keeps at the western end of Qeynos, by the
water. Kill him, ask
questions later.
Qeynos (W) Right on the docks west of Qeynos, Machinist Sethlans
Machinist Sethlans: I've given up my trade. Just taking it easy now...
Machinist Sethlans: ... Who are you? What do you want with me?
-You've something I need. Comply, and there'll be no violence.
-Exit
Machinist Sethlans: What are you after and why?
-The bracers. I am attempting to lift a curse.
-Exit
Machinist Sethlans: You'll get no bracers from me. Begone!
-Please, sir, it's absolutely necessary.
Machinist Sethlans: I've been warned of this day all my life. It is my
duty as heir to the
bracers to keep them from the hands of Relue.
-Then you know him. You know what curse he suffers.
Machinist Sethlans: I know well what curse he suffers. It was my great-great-great-great-
grandmother who set that spell upon him.
-Great-great-great-great?!
Machinist Sethlans: In this day, the man is well over 200 years old. He
is a corruption upon
our lands. His power and wealth was too great...
Machinist Sethlans: Such gifts are curses in of themselves to those who
would wield them for
personal benefit with no regard for other life.
Machinist Sethlans: Good or evil were of no matter to him, totally separate
from his base
agenda. Heroes and villains were mere pawns to him.
-His mathematical ingenuity brought great change to Tunaria.
Machinist Sethlans: We can credit the efficiency of our services to him,
but before he was
ousted, he was insane. Drunk with power.
Machinist Sethlans: He wielded the most arcane of magic, a spell he called
"the blue screen
of death."
Machinist Sethlans: Those he cursed would lose all sensory perception,
effectively becoming
frozen with no choice but to respawn.
Machinist Sethlans: At least other evil beings protect each other, and
share common goals.
This man did not deserve to live.
-What exactly did he do that was bad?
Machinist Sethlans: He cast the "blue screen of death" on anyone within
his range, and
attempted to sell products that would protect them from it.
Machinist Sethlans: That is where he made bank. And the more money he
had, the more
dangerous he became.
Machinist Sethlans: A party of both good and evil alignments ended his
reign. I will not
see the fruits of their sacrifices undone.
Machinist Sethlans: Giving you the bracers will ensure a return of those
times. I cannot
give them to you.
-He warned me of your silver tongue.
Machinist Sethlans: And he would. How else would he convince you to loot
the bracers off
of one uncorrupted by the curse of his rings?
Machinist Sethlans: Why don't we devise a machination of our own, and
find out if what I am
saying is true?
-How do we do that?
Machinist Sethlans: I have a replica of the bracers. Give them to him,
and see what his
intentions are once lifting the curse.
Machinist Sethlans: If he is what I say he is, you should bring it upon
yourself to
eliminate him. If not, come back here and do what you will.
Machinist Sethlans: Do you accept those terms?
-Yes, give me the replica.
-Let me think about it.
-Then I shall strip them from your limp arms, knave.
-Exit
You finished a quest!
You recieved a quest!
Mathemagician
Relue: Excellent! You've succeeded in vanquishing that fool Sethlans!
-Indeed. Here are the bracers.
-Uh... no. Give me more time.
-Exit
Mathemagician Relue: Gahaha... after hundreds of years... finally! I can
summon my true form at
the place I was cursed.
Mathemagician Relue: I haven't forgotten about your reward, Tashiro! Come
meet me at the
Permafrost and I shall reward you with a "blue screen."
Mathemagician Relue: Just what it is, you'll have to see for yourself!
Ta ta!
Mathemagician Relue: I will rematerialize in northwest Permafrost. When
the transfer completes,
my existence here will be no more.
You have finished a quest!
You have recieved a quest!
You have recieved 10 000000 exp. You have recieved 201000 tunar.
*Quest Log*
Meet with the Mathemagician Relue at the Permafrost, defeat and loot him,
return to Sethlans
in Qeynos.
Mathemagician Relue: My last bind point was at the Permafrost. Near the
sea, at the base of the
mountains.
Machinist Sethlans: I can tell by your look that you have confirmed what
I've said to be true.
You have a battle ahead of you, but worry not.
Machinist Sethlans: He only needs the ten rings to lift his curse, but
with the fake bracers he
will not be protected from his own rings.
Machinist Sethlans: When he realizes this, he won't dare cast "the blue
screen of death." He'd
be nearly invincible with the real bracers...
Machinist Sethlans: I've long given up my trade, but if you defeat him
and loot his rings, I can
craft somethign good for you.
Machinist Sethlans: Put Relue out of his misery. His existence harms both
good and evil.
Permafrost (NW) By west coast mountain range, M. Relue's true form (level
60), Relue's Loot
Machinist Sethlans (Perma NW): Relue's bind point is just beyond this
corner. I've been
suppressing his reappearance.
Machinist Sethlans: Continue northwest along this shore and you'll find
him. I'm letting him
out now! Finish him.
Machinist Sethlans: Good Work, Tashiro! Let us reconvene at Qeynos.
Machinist Sethlans (Qeynos W): You have his loot?
-Indeed. Here you go.
-Not quite...
-Exit

(A bunch of images load up of the mobs during quest with rings)
Mathemagician Sethlans: Bwahaha... don't you get it? It was just ME the
