**Giant Invasions** -Adventurers are needed in Halas, Forkwatch, and Hazinak to fend off the sudden giant attacks, as well as investigating the strange portals they're coming from.
This quest is a bit tricky, make sure you read all the direction before beginning or your hard work will be for nothing.
In Hazinak, kill the Sand Giants (con light blue to 60). Looting four Gold Rollisan Ores and turning into Captain Cil'Dya (by river, near rock) will net you xp and tunar. When the Siegemaster (cons red) spawns pull him far away from the portal (50range or more) or the portal will take the rune as soon as you loot it. Kill him and loot "Rallosian Rune" (ntl). Description says "This rune matches some of the writing on the portal".
If you already have the NTL hardened gold rallosian ore, don't go near the portal. If you don't have the ore, go up to portal. It will take your rune, and spawn an attackable (non-kos) portal. Quest log should say something like "Defeat the portal, and find a way to get your rune back".
The Eastern portal casts and is pretty weak, my alc could have soloed it easily but it has around five million hp. The Western portal (I've heard, never actually seen) is melee and has more defense, and takes significantly longer to kill. Kill the portal, loot the "Hardened Gold Rallosian Ore". The Description reads: "This ore appears to be unlike anything youve seen...and it makes you uneasy". The ore is ntl and it drops 4.
If the portal took your rune, simply go up to the portal when it respawns (or go to other portal if it's up, both work) and you will get your rune back (popup). CAUTION: DO NOT HANG AROUND AFTER YOU GET RUNE BACK OR THE PORTAL WILL TAKE THE RUNE AGAIN AND YOU'LL HAVE TO KILL AGAIN. Also, do not log without getting your rune back, or you've lost your chance.
OK, so by now you should have both the rune back and the ore, your quest log should say something like "Defeat the portal, and find a way to get your rune back". If you have that line in your quest log, the Captain will give a different dialogue when you speak with him, something along the lines of "You have found something interesting".
If you have both the rune and the ore, return to Captain Cil'Dya and he will make a NO TRADE Lv55 75dur ALL/ALL FOREARM 20sta 30dex 100hp.
The bracelet is not LORE, and the "quest" is repeatable.
Easy way if you plan on doing qst more than once... Kill siegemaster as described above, but don't loot. Hold corpse while you kill another one. Loot that one, turn it in to portal, kill portal, loot one ore, and the other siegemaster and go turn it in. Have someone hold the corpse of the portal till you get back. When you get back, loot another ore, and go over to other portal for rune, or wait for this one to respawn.
Lower levels
can do the same thing with the Giant Invaders in these locations:
*Forkwatch
(portals drop Hardened Iron Rallosian Ore) Lvl 41-50?;
*Halas (Captain Aknid in the tunel) (portals drop Hardened Silver Rallosian
Ore) with the appropriate npc there Lvl 31-40?.
Higher levels all get: Bracelet (lvl 60): 20 sta, 30 dex, and 100 hp's with 75 dur. Not Lore, so you can wear two.
Lower levels
get: Ring: silver rallosian signet (lvl 25)
