Short grew up thinking he’d go on to become a cleric like his famous older brother. But when his parents were killed by Dark Elf Dragoons on their way to Klick’Anon, this sent Short on a mission for revenge. He enlisted in Moradhim’s army as a soldier to gain the training of a mighty warrior, taking out his aggression on many Frosteye Orcs nearby as he advanced through the ranks.

After serving many years with the Moradhim army, he realized he no longer had any ties to Moradhim. The Dwarven army was the finest in the land and had no threats against it, so Short decided to go on an adventure across Tunaria. He vowed he would slay those that took his parents from him then spend his days continuing the fight against such evil.

Short freelanced and joined small guilds over the next few years. One day in the Deathfist Citadel; as the mightiest warriors and most legendary of fighters invaded the Orc city located deep within the Desert of Ro, Short stood in line for a camp to fight at when he received the dreadful news. Apparently his parents were poisoned by an Ebony Recluse who attacked them as they ventured to Gentars Mines to deliver rations for some of the workers. Short traveled straight to Gentars Mines. He arrived to find his parents barely hanging on to their lives. He raced to their sides to comfort them, trying to think of ways to save them, but there was nothing he could do to stop the yellow ticking numbers over their heads. He grew bitter thinking that if only his brother was there, he could surely save them, but his brother was nowhere to be found, and Short’s parents died in his arms.

Short was filled with anger that his brother was nowhere to be found when he needed him. He spammed tells repeatedly, but he was unable to reach his elder sibling. He shunned his brother after that, vowing never to work alongside him, and that he would get revenge on the Ebony Recluse himself to avenge his parents. These events led Short into a downward spiral of depression and he spent the next few weeks drunk or passed out in a bar.

One fateful day, Short awoke to some conversations of adventurers. He peeled his face off the Freeport bar table where he had passed out, regaining focus as the talk of slaying monsters in the Plane of Disease became more coherent to him. He began to have flashbacks to his days of glory on the battlefield, remembering the vow he made to spend his days vanquishing the evil of the world.

He traveled to the bank to grab his weapons. Still dazed from the hangover, he suited his armor and grabbed his weapon when screams and cries in the distance came into focus. He hustled to the front gate to see what the commotion was. As he approached the front gate two distinct screams stood out from the others; he sprinted out the front gate only to find Freeport being invaded by the Orcs. His eyes focused on the source of the distinct cries he heard only to find his worst fear true. He spotted his father in the distance falling to the ground as an Orc Skirmisher pulled his blood coated sword from his torso and began to attack his mother. Short sprinted as fast as he could, but before he could reach them the Skirmisher sliced through Short’s mother, her bloodied body falling to the ground. Short ran in and attacked the Orc Skirmisher with all his might. As soon as Short’s blade struck the skirmisher, the cowardly orc took off running. Short chased the Orc Skirmisher as the green coward ran all over the area. Short searched his inventory for his bow, but by the time he scrolled through his inventory and equipped it, the Skirmisher had escaped.

Short returned to his parents, but they were already gone. Short went on a rampage, attacking with all his might, his mind blinded with rage. Over an hour later, he stood over top of the bodies of the 6 Orcs he killed, brought out of his rage when a nearby alchemist standing on a pile of dead bodies shouted "Okay, I got 99 of each".

Short returned to the city a battered shell of the mighty warrior he is. Emotionally destroyed from the visions of that Orc Skirmisher slaying his parents and utterly annoyed at how quickly he ran away. He vowed one day he would get that Orc Skirmisher at any sacrifice.

Short picked up his sword and shield and set out to face the evil of the world. He no longer had any more family ties as he still refused to talk to his brother, and his parents were accidently killed when they were traveling through Solusek’s Eye; his father went to jump out and scare his wife as a prank, but a lava splash killed them both along with a stable boy who was passing by.

He has accomplished much, but he still has yet to get his revenge on that Dragoon/Ebony Recluse/Orc Skirmisher/Lava Splash that left him orphaned.
