The
Five ZP Entrance Quests By Morynn Zaoran Plateau, the Plane of War, is the latest zone for EQOA; it opened during the winter of 2006. ZP is another zone, like IoD, or PoS. All Five agent quests must be completed in order to gain access to the zone. Once you've completed the quests, you head to Lake Rathe (c), speak with the Portal Guardian, pay the 5k tunar and go through to zp. Smell the free air - this is the last time your faction will be neutral for all 3 groups at the same time! Once in ZP,
you're faced with a difficult choice. In order to gain access to different
tiers of the zone, you'll need to chose an alliance. You'll chose between: In order to decide who to align with, look at the rewards the different factions offer you (abilities/armour); also consider which way your guild went. It's pretty tough to progress if you've allied yourself with, say Honor, and your entire guild went Zaoran. And don't panic, you'll be switching sides later on, so no worries if you're not initially happy with what you picked (more on this shortly). So now that
you've chosen a side to ally with, note that you will have maxed negative
faction with the other two alliances. Now, you'll want to: When you've completed everything for the side you're on, you are flagged to move forward to tier 2 mobs. Time to switch sides! In order to gain access to all the islands all you need is 2/3 factions completed; you're welcome to do all 3 for the spells/armour if you think it's worthwhile. To switch factions, just log the quest with the opposing side - the faction you just worked so hard to gain will now be reduced to -2k. At this point, your faction with all 3 will be max negative. Then, start working on getting your new alliance faction up to -350 to log your new entrance faction quests, and quests for armour and abilities. In the past, betraying caused some lock outs during raids, if this is a problem for you, seek out Fdak of Zek, Humarin of Marr, or An Akessan mystic. Note: until you've passed your new alliances entrance quests, you can only turn in weapons at a ratio of 1:1 faction. Once your faction is up to -350, and you log and complete the alliance entrance quest, the faction will revert to 4:1. Detailed
